Groundhogs is Friends meets The Breakfast Club about four teens trying to survive high school
Ozzie, Eli and Matt are three life-long friends who've grown up in Clovis, a boring small town in central Kansas. When Emily, a dead-pan sixteen-year-old arrives from Toronto, the boys start to learn what it takes to make female friends, Emily learns why she had it so good in Canada; and they all start to figure out how to get through high school, and do it laughing. A show about good days and bad days, first crushes and first breakups, rogue tater tots, and band shirts that look… phallic. Groundhogs is a high-school sitcom about finding your people… or at least the people you don’t mind, (that much).

ozzie
Ozzie is from Clovis, born and bred. He is a slightly pompous but loveable individual who has a passion for money-making schemes and solving non-existent mysteries. Shockingly self-confident, he is a real armchair expert, giving advice freely but taking it rarely.
eli
Eli is part of a big Kansan family with five siblings, three guinea pigs, and a free-ranging pet tarantula. He is a bro, but not obnoxious. Even though he sometimes gets things wrong, his heart is always in the right place. He is remarkably selfless and would do anything for the people he loves.
matt
Matt is a dorky 10th grader who loves art house movies and straight-A report cards. He is a hypochondriac, deathly afraid of pigeons, and drinks milk when nervous, (which is pretty much always).
emily
Emily arrives at BOGS in the 10th grade, having moved from Toronto. She is passionate about hard rock, alone time, and iced coffee. The only thing she’s ever openly expressed love for is her electric guitar. She's dry, sarcastic, and takes no BS.
